olympic fever!

The olympics are here and I am super excited... because my friend, Wes, is competing in rowing. It's pretty awesome--to be able to watch the games and actually know who I am cheering for. My sister knew that Wes was a friend and showed me the article (click on the picture) and picture below. He's the one on the left; the picture makes me laugh because I can't recall ever seeing him not smiling. ha.

So cheer him on when you see his event and pray that he gets gold!

My sister-in-law and I spent some good quality time at the renegade craft fair a bit ago, and only now have I been able to post. For our love of crafts and all things artsy-crafty we went to the renegade craft fair for some major (window) shopping! Afterwards, I got in some good time to take photographs. I love the one above... it just makes me smile....

we walk next to each other...

And of course, I must have a picture of my feet. I love my tomato orange scarf

oh... and she brought the dog! I love his big head!

and finally, my lovely sister! I took this from the dashboard on timer, but i missed my face in the passenger side. eek. So it became just a picture of her! woot woot!

I am 24 years old and do not have a drivers license...

I did take my written test recently and am in the process of getting my license, but that's besides the point. When I was going to school, I loved walking around and riding the bus. It was a small town, so my means of transportation were very feasible. Now that I'm back in the bay area, it's become harder to do what i love--walk and use public transportation. I try to use bart/bus whenever I can.

It brings me so much peace and happiness to wait for and ride the bus/bart! I swear, New York was designed for me!

I love (watching) baseball. My favorite team is the Oakland Athletics, but my second favorite team is the New York Yankees. The last time I was in New York, the Yankees had their opening game. I was sooo bummed that I couldn't go to that game, so I made it a point to go to a game during this trip.

I was so fortunate to go to the Yankees/Mets game. The people were so lively and full of team spirit. It was great. I really love the whole atmosphere of baseball games.

I also knew that this was the last season that the Yankees would play at this particular stadium, so I wanted to see it this last time. All in all, I had a wonderful time. Of all my experiences on this trip, this was the most memorable.

every morning....

I am blessed with wonderful friends. First and foremost, I flew into New York and because my flight was delayed, I arrived at my friend's place at almost 4am. And, guess what I found when I arrived? My dear friend waited up for me. He arrived from his flight at almost midnight. Anyway, we had a grand time. My little air mattress bed was warm and comfy. I went to bed every night to the roaring sounds of a great city.

But the icing on the cake.... waking up to this view (the pictures above) every morning.
